This summer I'm teaching a kids workshop on Pattern Exploration at Fleisher, and I'm doing my background research now. The first day will explore stripes and look at Kente cloth for inspiration. Here's a video I found on the subject where you can see the process of weaving it. I really like listening to the sounds of the looms clicking in the background.
